Boeing Conducts Successful Test of SDB I Focused Lethality Munition
ST. LOUIS, Sept. 17, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] conducted the second successful test flight of its Small Diameter Bomb I (SDB I) Focused Lethality Munition (FLM) Sept. 14 at White Sands Missile Range, N. M., demonstrating the weapon's enhanced blast, ultra-low collateral damage warhead and pinpoint accuracy.
The flight, along with an autopilot performance flight on July 11, is part of the first phase of a $27 million U.S. Air Force Joint Capability Technology Demonstration contract. » read more »
Boeing Statement on One-Two-GO Airways Accident in Phuket, Thailand
Seattle, Sept. 16, 2007 -- Boeing offers heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of those lost, and to those passengers who were injured in the September 16 One-Two-GO Airways landing accident in Phuket, Thailand.
Boeing is sending an investigator as part of the U.S. team that will provide technical assistance onsite to the Thai authorities in determining the cause of this tragedy.

Boeing Selected to Build NASA's Upper Stage for Ares I
ST. LOUIS, Aug. 28, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a NASA contract valued at approximately $514.7 million to produce the upper stage of the Ares I crew launch vehicle. This element provides the navigation, guidance, control and propulsion required for the ascent of the second-stage Ares I into low-Earth orbit.
The Ares I launches the Orion crew exploration vehicle, which will be joined with other elements of NASA's Constellation program to help propel astronauts to the moon by 2020. » read more »

Boeing to Study Key Elements of Conventional Prompt Global Strike Demonstration
ST. LOUIS, Aug. 27, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been awarded an $8.9 million U.S. Air Force contract to study key elements of a conventional prompt global strike missile demonstration.
The study, scheduled to be completed by June 2009, will help plan for a demonstration using a land-based Minotaur launch system and a payload delivery vehicle designed to carry and deliver various conventional payloads at global ranges in less than one hour of flight time.
