Boeing Co. of Huntington Beach, Calif., is being awarded a contract for $505,300,000. This contract is for the purchase of launch services using Delta IV heavy and medium launch vehicles under the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program for launch of the National Reconnaissance Office mission’s 32, 27 and 49 missions. At this time $252,650,000 has been obligated. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8811-08-C-0005).

Washington Governor Gregoire’s Statement on Boeing 787 Dreamliner Delay

January 16, 2008 -- OLYMPIA – Following Boeing’s announcement that the first flight of the new 787 Dreamliner would be delayed until about June 2008, Washington Governor Chris Gregoire had the following statement:

“While we all would rather see completion of the 787 Dreamliner take place sooner rather than later, we shouldn’t be surprised at delays in the development of such an innovative new airliner. I appreciate Boeing’s commitment to quality and safety.”

Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $1,003,329,142 fixed-price incentive modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-06-C-2222) for construction of the ninth LPD 17 Class Amphibious Transport Dock ship (LPD 25). LPD stands for Landing Platform Dock, although the ship is usually referred to as an amphibious transport dock. LPD 17 will perform more than amphibious missions and serve as more than a transport for the landing forces.    » read more »

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 09, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a U.S. Department of Defense performance-based logistics contract to support AH-64D Apache attack helicopters.

Under the contract, which has a base year and two one-year options, Boeing will provide fixed-price, total logistics support for hundreds of AH-64D components. The program provides total asset visibility for the customer and supply chain management support through best-of-industry practices. ST. LOUIS, Oct. 10, 2007 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and partner Science Applications International Corporation [NYSE: SAI], lead systems integrator for the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program, have successfully completed a weeklong system-of-systems technical review of FCS requirements, designs and tests, capping the program's first of four major engineering phases.
