Sen. Gillibrand Works for ARRA Funds For NY Biodiesel Facility
Project Expected To Create Up To 300 New Jobs In Central New York
October 15, 2009 -- Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today pushed for federal economic recovery dollars for the Auburn Biodiesel Corporation to develop and expand the ports at Oswego and Montezuma, New York, to add new biodiesel capabilities at both locations.
The federal dollars would be allocated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which Senator Gillibrand helped pass earlier this year. The project is expected create up to 300 long-term jobs and provide an economic boost for local farmers, according to the Port of Oswego. » read more »

NJ Governor Corzine Says U.S. EPA Food-To-Fuel Mandate Hurts Families And The Environment
August 8, 2008 -- TRENTON – New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine today expressed disappointment over the U.S Environmental Protection Agency’s refusal to lower the nationwide Renewable Fuels Standard that calls for the production of nine billion gallons of ethanol and biodiesel this year and an even greater quantity during 2009.

May 12, 2008 -- DES MOINES – Today at the State Capitol, Iowa Governor Chet Culver signed legislation to expand infrastructure and access to Iowa renewable fuels.
House File 2689 makes changes to the Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program that was created in 2006 to expand renewable fuel infrastructure and access to renewable fuels all across Iowa. Specifically, this legislation makes the following key changes to the 2006 program:

Wisconsin Governor Doyle Announces $4 Million for First Soybean Crushing Facility in State
April 08, 2008 -- EVANSVILLE – Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle today announced $4 million for the construction of the first soybean crushing facility in the state that will create the soybean oil that will eventually become biodiesel. Landmark Services Cooperative, a farmer-owned cooperative, was awarded the grant to build a plant with the capacity to process 20 million bushels of soybeans annually.
