Senator Lautenberg, Rep. Pallone, Environmental Groups Praise Action On Beach Protection Act
April 11, 2008 -- LONG BRANCH, N.J. – U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) and U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) joined environmental activists and recreational fishermen to laud the expected passage next week of the Beach Protection Act in the U.S. House of Representatives and its introduction in the U.S. Senate.

Florida Governor Crist Signs Legislation To Expand Beach Access
November 13, 2007 -- COCOA BEACH – Florida Governor Crist today ceremonially signed Senate Bill 1472 at Roosevelt Elementary School. The legislation, sponsored by Senator Burt Saunders and Representative Stan Mayfield, provides expanded access for the public to Florida’s beaches and additional methods for sand dune restoration. The Governor was joined at the signing by Kelly Slater, a native Floridian and professional surfer, who was recently appointed as an honorary member to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. » read more »
