New NFL Teams, NFL Players Added to the 13 Participating in Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play
NEW YORK, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The New York Jets have just been added to the roster of 13 National Football League (NFL) teams that will be participating in and supporting Nickelodeon's fourth annual Worldwide Day of Play, which takes place Saturday, September 29, 2007. NFL Quarterback Michael Vick Suspended Indefinitely for Involvement in Illegal Dogfighting
25 August 2007 -- The National Football League (NFL) has indefinitely suspended star quarterback Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons after he admitted in court papers to involvement in an illegal dogfighting ring.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a letter Friday that Vick's conduct was "not only illegal, but also cruel and reprehensible." He said Vick's actions have hurt his team, the NFL and NFL fans.
The NFL said Michael Vick's suspension is without pay. » read more »
