01/15/2008 -- At a news conference earlier today, it was announced that the Atlanta Braves AAA team will move from Richmond, Virginia to Gwinnett County, Georgia beginning in 2009. The announcement was made after the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners unanimous vote.

10/25/2007, ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves made a pair of roster moves today, as they claimed right-handed relief pitcher Chris Resop off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and designated right-handed pitcher Chad Paronto for assignment.

Resop, who turns 25 on Nov. 4, has appeared 41 career games for the Florida Marlins (2005-06) and the Angels (2007). His career record is 3-2 with a 4.15 ERA. Resop began his professional career as an outfielder in the Marlins system in 2001.    » read more »

10/23/2007, ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves announced today that the club has signed two-year contract extensions with three members of its Baseball Operations administrative staff. The extensions, which run through the 2009 season, were announced by Braves Executive Vice President and General Manager Frank Wren, and include Kurt Kemp, Roy Clark and Johnny Almaraz. 10/10/2007, ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves today released their tentative schedule for the 2008 season. A finalized schedule with start times will be released at a later date in the off-season. The Braves are now accepting deposits for 2008 season tickets.

10/01/2007 -- Atlanta Braves fans will soon be able to show their team spirit and support the Atlanta Braves Foundation as they traverse Georgia's roads and highways, with a state-issued Atlanta Braves license plate.

For new and renewal license plates, there is an annual charge of $25 for the specialty plates in addition to the regular vehicle registration fee. The Atlanta Braves Foundation will receive $10 for each tag sold.    » read more »
