IBM Acquires Platform Solutions Technology Company
ARMONK, NY, July 2, 2008 -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced it has acquired Platform Solutions, Inc. (PSI), a privately held technology company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. PSI's technologies and employees will become part of the IBM System z business unit of the IBM Systems and Technology Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.
PSI's technologies and skills, along with its intellectual capital, will become part of IBM's long-term mainframe product engineering cycles and part of IBM's future product plans. » read more »
H. J. Heinz Intends to Acquire Bénédicta
PARIS, July 02, 2008 -- H. J. Heinz Company (NYSE: HNZ) announced today its intention to acquire Bénédicta, a French manufacturer of table top sauces, mayonnaises and salad dressings. Terms of the intended transaction were not disclosed.

3M's IMTEC Acquisition Completed
ST. PAUL, Minn., July 02, 2008 -- 3M announced today that it has completed its acquisition of IMTEC Corp., a manufacturer of dental implants and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanning equipment for dental and medical radiology headquartered in Ardmore, Okla. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
IMTEC becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of 3M and will be known as IMTEC, a 3M Company. Campbell Soup Company Acquires Wolfgang Puck Soup Business
Acquisition from Country Gourmet Foods Strengthens Campbell's Organic and Premium Soup Offerings
CAMDEN, N.J. July 1, 2008 — Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced it has acquired the Wolfgang Puck soup business from Country Gourmet Foods. Separately, Campbell has entered into a master licensing agreement with Wolfgang Puck Worldwide, Inc. for the use of the Wolfgang Puck brand on soup, stock and broth products in North American retail locations, with an option to extend the brand into other related categories and channels. Wolfgang Puck is one of the leading organic soup brands in the United States.

Halliburton Completes 100 Percent Acquisition of WellDynamics
HOUSTON, July 1, 2008 -- Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) announced today that it has closed the previously announced acquisition of the 49 percent equity of Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1 B.V. in WellDynamics B.V. With this transaction complete, Halliburton owns 100 percent of WellDynamics.
