Delaware Governor Minner Signs Legislation Restricting the Use of Credit Information for Setting Insurance Rates
Aug. 1, 2007 -- Dover – Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner on Wednesday signed legislation restricting the use of credit information in setting auto and homeowner insurance rates, making Delaware’s credit scoring law one of the toughest in the country.
Senate Substitute 1 for Senate Bill 31 prohibits insurance companies from using credit information to change rates when customers renew existing home or auto policies. Sen. Margaret Rose Henry was primary sponsor of the bill and Insurance Commissioner Matt Denn was an advocate of the legislation. » read more »
Seven Delaware Schools as State Champions in Sportsmanship
William Penn High School captures honor tenth consecutive year
( Dover, DE.) The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Sportsmanship Committee has selected seven schools as recipients of the 2006-07 State Champions in Sportsmanship award. This is the highest honor for sportsmanship that can be bestowed on any of the 93 member schools of DIAA.
