Delaware Estuary Selected for Federal Climate Study
PHILADELPHIA, June 24, 2008 -- The Delaware Estuary has been selected by EPA as one of six estuaries to be case studies for local action to protect sensitive coastal ecosystems and economies from the potential effects of climate change. This is the first step in EPA’s new “Climate Ready Estuaries” effort to build local ability to adapt to climate change.
“EPA’s Climate Ready Estuaries work will help coastal communities understand and adapt to climate change,” said Assistant Administrator for Water Benjamin H. Oregon AG Reaches Settlement With Imergent, Inc. and Storesonline, Inc. for Misleading Internet Money Making Offers
May 28, 2008 -- Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers today announced a settlement reached with iMergent, Inc., and its subsidiary, Storesonline, Inc., both Delaware-based companies operating out of Utah, for alleged violations of Oregon's Unlawful Trade Practices Act. In an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance (AVC) filed in Marion County Circuit Court, the company agrees to comply with state consumer protection laws and resolve any future complaints. » read more »
DoD Identifies Air Force Casualty: Staff Sgt. Travis L. Griffin, 28, of Dover, Delaware
April 04, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of an airman who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Travis L. Griffin, 28, of Dover, Delaware, died April 3 near Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 377th Security Forces Squadron, Kirtland AFB, N.M.

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden Acts to Secure Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions
April 4, 2008 -- Wilmington, DE – On Wednesday, April 2, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden joined a federal lawsuit seeking a court order requiring the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to decide whether it will regulate motor vehicle greenhouse gas emissions under the federal Clean Air Act.

The lawsuit is a response to the EPA’s failure to abide by a 2007 landmark ruling by the United States Supreme Court in which the Court determined that the EPA has the authority to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act. » read more »

October 25, 2007 -- CHESTER - A Delaware man was arrested today for setting fire to his 2003 BMW in an alleged attempt to collect more than $47,000 in insurance money to pay off his vehicle.
