September 7, 2007, Salem – Today, Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski ordered all flags at public institutions be flown at half-staff throughout Oregon on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in observance of Patriot Day.

September 10, 2007 -- To mark the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America, Governor M. Jodi Rell has proclaimed September 11, 2007, a Day of Remembrance in Connecticut.

The Governor asked that state residents observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday, the time the first airliner crashed in New York City six years ago.

The Governor also directed that U.S. and State of Connecticut flags be flown at half-staff through sundown on September 11, as part of the remembrance of those who lost their lives and the loved ones who mourned.    » read more »

August 9, 2007 -- "In past years, the September 11th ceremony at the World Trade Center site included allowing family members to descend the ramp to congregate in the footprints to pay tribute for several hours during the day.
