Connecticut Governor Rell: State Allocates $9.84 Million in Stem Cell Research Funds

April 3, 2008 -- Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that the state’s Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee has directed the allocation of $9.84 million in stem cell research funds to scientists based in Storrs, Farmington and New Haven.

Budget Will Also Address Workforce Shortage Needs in Education, Nursing and Engineering

January 30, 2008 -- Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that her revised budget will include $5 million to support industry-university partnerships in nanotechnology research at Yale University and the University of Connecticut.
