Six Maine Counties Qualify for Federal Disaster Aid
April 25, 2007 -- AUGUSTA – Maine Governor John Baldacci received word today that President Bush has signed a major disaster declaration for six Maine counties as a result of the Patriots’ Day Storm that struck the state last week.
The six counties are Androscoggin, Cumberland, Kennebec, Knox, Oxford and York. Other counties can be added to the declaration as damage is verified. » read more »
Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher Declares State of Emergency Following Severe Weather
April 25, 2007 -- FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher has declared a state of emergency in Kentucky following severe weather which spread across Eastern Kentucky on April 14, 2007.
The storms caused flooding, mudslides, power outages, damages to public and private property and road closures in counties including, but not limited to Floyd, Knott, Lawrence, Leslie, Martin and Pike counties.
