Johnson: "Given the amount of work that remains to sufficiently answer the Texas request for a waiver from the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS), it is now clear that a final decision on the request will not be completed by July 24. EPA Recognizes Texas Instruments as a Clean Air Excellence Award Winner
TI earns recognition for Clean Air Technology
DALLAS, July 2, 2008 -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) was among 11 winners named to receive the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's eighth annual Clean Air Excellence Awards for outstanding accomplishments in improving air quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The awards were presented recently at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
There are four categories of awards: clean air technology, community action, education/outreach, and regulatory policy innovations. TI and Matros Technologies Inc, (MT) were recognized for innovative clean air technology they developed jointly, which improves abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in semiconductor manufacturing. » read more »

New Members of First-Ever Agricultural Advisory Committee Announced

Televisions Must Meet New Requirements to Earn Energy Star
Washington, D.C., Feb. 5, 2008 -- Today EPA is announcing a revised Energy Star specification for televisions. Effective Nov. 1, 2008, TVs that carry the Energy Star label will be up to 30 percent more efficient than conventional models and will save energy while they are on and when they are off. The new modifications are expected to prevent greenhouse gas emissions while offering U.S. consumers the very best in terms of feature-rich, high-quality TVs. » read more »
