Small business legislation will open credit markets, support job creation

30 October 2009 -- Washington -- Original legislation from Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (PA-3) to make cost-saving information technology affordable for small group and individual health care practitioners passed the House of Representatives this week. Dahlkemper’s bill, the Small Business Health Information Technology Financing Act, was incorporated into the House Committee on Small Business’ legislation, the Small Business Financing and Investment Act of 2009.    » read more »

Secretary Sebelius Releases New Success Story Report

October 1, 2009 -- HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today released a report on how health information technology can improve health care for Americans living in rural communities. The report examines how the Columbia Basin Health Association in Othello, Wash., uses health information technology to improve health care quality and patient safety as well as promote care coordination and continuity. Google and Guggenheim Museum Launch Design It: Shelter Competition Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright

June 8, 2009 -- Today, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Google are kicking-off the Design It: Shelter Competition, a global competition that will challenge users to design a simple shelter in 3D with Google SketchUp, give it a geographic location using Google Earth, and share it by uploading to the Google 3D Warehouse.

The summer-long competition, which begins on Frank Lloyd Wright's birthday and will conclude on the Guggenheim Museum's 50th anniversary, is inspired by the work of architecture students at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture and a recent exhibition of that work at the Guggenheim called 'Learning by Doing'.    » read more »

SYDNEY - 09 Jun 2009: Telstra announced today that it has extended its information technology (IT) operations and services agreement with IBM until the year 2014. The five-year contract, which is an extension of an existing services agreement, is worth a total of AU$745million. Yahoo! Would Invest $150 Million and Create 125 High-Tech Jobs

May 19, 2009 -- New York Governor David A. Paterson today announced that the New York Power Authority (NYPA) has approved a proposal designed to bring Yahoo! Inc., the world’s largest global online network of integrated internet services, to Western New York.
