Senator Hutchison on General Motors' New Chairman Ed Whitacre, Jr.
June 9, 2009 -- WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), Texas senior Senator and Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce Committee, released the following statement regarding General Motors' decision to select Ed Whitacre, Jr. as the company’s new chairman once it completes its bankruptcy reorganization:
