Black in America: The Black Woman & Family, airs Wednesday, July 23, at 9 p.m., and Black in America: The Black Man, airs Thursday, July 24, at 9 p.m. (ET).
Found at www.CNN.com/BlackinAmerica under “For Parents,” the parent companion guide is designed to inspire thoughtful discussion between parents and children about the successes and struggles in the black community. The CNN Student News parenting guide consists of several activities, including recommended pre-viewing and post-viewing discussion questions, to spur constructive dialogue on the topics covered in The Black Woman & Family and The Black Man.
Black in America, reported by anchor and special correspondent Soledad O’Brien examines often under-reported stories of the African-American experience, including fresh analysis from new voices about the real lives behind the stereotypes and statistics that frequently frame the national dialogue about Black America.
