Monday, July 21, 2008 -- "Episode 102" -- "Wanna Bet?" is a weekly, one-hour prime time event in which celebrities have the chance to earn big money for the charity of their choice by betting on the success or failure of the wildest stunts, tricks and mental challenges that ordinary Americans - housewives, truck drivers, dentists, kids - can dream up and perform in front of a studio audience. "Wanna Bet?" airs MONDAY, AUGUST 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Hosted by British comedy sensations Ant and Dec, "Wanna Bet?" features celebrity contestants/judges. Drew Lachey (ABC's "Dancing with the Stars"), Jerry Rice (ABC's "Dancing with the Stars"), Rondell Sheridan and Melissa Peterman are this week's celebrity panel.
Attempted stunts include the following: Kicking off sixty lights in 60 seconds using only one foot; identifying 4 out of 5 shoes while blindfolded; and retrieving Ant and Dec's car from a sea of 50 black cars in less than 3 minutes.
"Wanna Bet?" executive producers are Phil Gurin ("The Singing Bee," "The Weakest Link," "Miss Universe) and Marc Jansen ("Lingo"). "Wanna Bet?" is produced by The Gurin Company.
"Wanna Bet?" is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to the airdate.
