Ben Stiller, Jack Black Star in 'Reel Comedy: Tropic Thunder' Premiering Monday, August 11 at Midnight on Comedy Central
Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Nick Nolte And Robert Downey, Jr. Star In "Tropic Thunder" Which Opens In Theaters Nationwide August 15
NEW YORK, July 21 -- COMEDY CENTRAL(R) is doing some Method acting in "Reel Comedy: Tropic Thunder." The half-hour special premieres on Monday, August 11 at midnight.
COMEDY CENTRAL's "Reel Comedy: Tropic Thunder" is hosted by comedian Paul F. Tompkins, who visits the set of the film for an exclusive tour with the film's star and director, Ben Stiller. Stiller shows Tompkins why the middle of the Hawaiian jungle is a great substitute for Southeast Asia, as well as a perfect spot to blow things up. Tompkins also speaks with the film's other stars Jack Black, Robert Downey, Jr., Nick Nolte, Danny McBride, Brandon Jackson and Jay Baruchel, all of whom give opinions on why Hollywood actors are a perfect target for parody. Paramount's "Tropic Thunder" opens in theaters on August 15.
Encore presentations air Tuesday, August 12 at noon, Wednesday, August 13 at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 14 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. and Friday, August 15 at 4:00 p.m.
