Wisconsin Governor Doyle Welcomes Gordon Food Service to Wisconsin

New Distribution Center Expected to Bring 265 Jobs to State

June 17, 2008 -- MADISON – Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Gordon Food Service (GFS) will construct and equip a 480,000-square-foot distribution center in Kenosha. The new Kenosha facility is expected to create up to 265 jobs for Wisconsin residents.

We have grown Wisconsin by making it the premier place in the world for manufacturers, agricultural producers, and new economy businesses looking to start or expand their operations.”

Governor Doyle is providing a $1 million loan to support the project, which will represent more than $50 million in investment. It will be the company’s tenth distribution center in the United States and its first in Wisconsin.
