Week Concludes with Premiere of New Episode on Friday, June 27

BURBANK, June 3, 2008 -- "Gawrsh!" Playhouse Disney's hit preschool series, "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" celebrates happy-go-lucky Goofy with a week of Goofy-themed episodes beginning MONDAY, JUNE 23 on Disney Channel. The week culminates with the premiere of an all-new episode on FRIDAY, JUNE 27 (8:30 a.m. ET/PT).

In "Mickey's Art Show," preparations for Mickey's arts and crafts show has the Clubhouse gang working on their art projects, except for Goofy, who isn't sure what to do. Mickey and pals get Goofy painting, sculpting and drawing – and eventually he discovers that, while his art doesn't turn out like everyone else's, it perfectly expresses who he is – spontaneous, unpredictable and… well, goofy.

The episode schedule for the week of June 23 is as follows. All episodes air at 8:30 a.m., ET/PT.

Monday, June 23 "Goofy's Hat"
Tuesday, June 24 "Fancy Dancin' Goofy"
Wednesday, June 25 "Goofy in Training"
Thursday, June 26 "Goofy Baby"
Friday, June 27 "Mickey's Art Show"

"Well, whaddya know…" – Goofy made his film debut as a whiskered old audience member in the 1932 short "Mickey's Revue." Dippy Dawg, as he was initially known, appeared in "The Whoopee Party" (1932) and soon became one of Mickey's cohorts, gaining prominence in comic strips as Dippy the Goof. Walt Disney described the type of physical humor used in the Studio's cartoons as "goofy," and the name officially stuck to the affable character in "Orphan's Benefit" (1934). In addition to appearing alongside Mickey, Goofy also went on to star in many solo vehicles, including the popular "How to…" series of sporting films. Prior to "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," Goofy starred on television in "Goof Troop" with his son, Max.

The first televised CG-animated series starring the Sensational Six – Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy Duck and Donald Duck – "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" airs weekdays at 8:30 a.m. ET/PT and weekends at 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. ET/PT during Disney Channel's learning-focused Playhouse Disney programming block for preschoolers.
