June 02, 2008 -- This Wednesday at 10:50 am EST, Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama will address more than 4,000 SEIU members, leaders, and guests at the 2008 SEIU Convention in Puerto Rico by live satellite feed.

“For months, SEIU members have made the difference in critical contests across the country to help Barack Obama cross the finish line,” said SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger. “Now, with the final primary season votes being cast this week, Barack Obama will address SEIU members as the presumptive nominee. We’re proud to stand with him to kick off the general election and SEIU members are ready to do the same hard work to ensure Barack Obama is our next President.”
Since endorsing Obama in February, thousands of SEIU members have made millions of phone calls, knocked on more than a million doors, appeared on multiple television ads, and volunteered thousands of hours to make Barack Obama the Democratic nominee for president.
