BURBANK, CA, April 28, 2008 – It’s a fight to the finish as SOAPnet premieres “Relative Madness: Brawl in the Family,” an original special counting down the 25 most over-the-top TV and celebrity families on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 p.m., ET/PT. Some highlights featured in the countdown include the rocky marriages of Madonna & Sean Penn, Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey and Paul McCartney & Heather Mills; the disputes between Nick, Aaron & Jane Carter, Angelina Jolie & Jon Voight and Princess Diana & the Royal Family; and the legal troubles of Bobby Brown, “The Sopranos” and David Hasselhoff.

Commentators weighing in on the sibling revelry are comedians Joy Behar (“The View”), Chuck Nice (“Best Week Ever”), Tom Lenck (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Sharon Houston (“The Chicas Project”), and designer Paige Hemmis (“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”)

The SOAPnet “Relative Madness” franchise is a series of six original specials that take a fun and sassy look at families, blending real-life celebrities and pop-icons, as well as fictional primetime and daytime characters. Each show will count down the 25 best over-the-top TV and celebrity family moments with commentary from a variety of talent and comedians.
