Georgia Governor and First Lady Perdue Welcome Ninth Grandchild
April 10, 2008 -- ATLANTA - Today Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue proudly announce the arrival of their ninth grandchild Anna Katherine Perdue. Anna Katherine is the daughter of Jim and Stephanie Perdue.
Anna Katherine, who was born in the early morning of Wednesday April 9, 2008, arrived weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces. She was welcomed by brothers Jake and Judd Perdue.
“Mary and I are proud to welcome another beautiful grandchild,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “We are blessed to have such a wonderful family and we are eager to share our love with its newest member.”
Governor Perdue and the First Lady now have five grandsons and four granddaughters.
