DoD Identifies Army Casualty: Spc. Charles A. Jankowski, 24, of Panama City, Florida
April 04, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Charles A. Jankowski, 24, of Panama City, Florida, died March 28, in Arab Jabour, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
He was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
