Seattle Mariners Announce Trade with Minnesota Twins, Make Spring Training Roster Moves
Seattle Mariners sends catcher Jair Fernandez to Minnesota Twins in exchange for rights to RHP RA Dickey
LAS VEGAS, 03/30/2008 -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Bill Bavasi announced the following roster moves on Saturday:
Traded to Minnesota Twins:
Seattle Mariners traded Minor League catcher Jair Fernandez to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for the Twins rejecting Seattle's offer to return Rule 5 Draft player RA Dickey.
Optioned to AAA Tacaoma (1):
Right-Handed Pitcher (1): RA Dickey
Reassigned to Minor League Camp (5):
Left-Handed Pitcher (1): Arthur Rhodes
Right-Handed Pitcher (2): Roy Corcoran, Chris Reitsma
Infielders (2): Tug Hulett, Greg Norton.
Today's roster moves leaves the Seattle Mariners with 26 players in their Major League Camp, all roster players.
