DoD Identifies Army Casualty: Staff Sgt. Joseph D. Gamboa, 34, of Yigo, Guam
March 28, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Joseph D. Gamboa, 34, of Yigo, Guam, died Mar. 25 of wounds suffered when he came under indirect fire in Baghdad, Iraq.
He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.
