WWE, Comcast and Charter Announce Winners of WWE Community Champions Contest

STAMFORD, Conn., March 27, 2008 — World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE) today announced the winners of the “WWE Community Champion” competition held as part of a pilot program with Comcast and Charter to recognize young people for making positive contributions to their community.

WWE worked with Comcast, Bay Area Region, Comcast, Central California Region, and Charter St. Louis, Mo., on the program. The “WWE Community Champion” contest accepted nominations for individuals between the ages of 10 to 17 who have made a considerable difference in their community or have overcome significant personal adversity.

Winners from Comcast were Ruben Duarte of E.V. Cain Middle School in Auburn, Calif., and D’Antay Freeman of John Muir Middle School in San Leandro, Calif. The winner from Charter was Kaitlyn Ehrhard of House Springs, Mo.

Each winner and a parent or legal guardian will be flown to Orlando, Fla., attend WrestleMania® XXIV on March 30, and be honored at WWE’s annual “Bacon, Bagels and Biceps Breakfast.”
