FSN Rocky Mountain to Telecast 85 Colorado Rockies Baseball Games in HD
03/27/2008 -- FSN Rocky Mountain brings Colorado Rockies fans closer to the action than ever before by producing 85 Colorado Rockies games, including all home game telecasts, in high definition during the 2008 MLB season, starting with the Rockies game at St. Louis Thurs., April 3 at 11:15 a.m. MT. This marks a 35 percent increase over last season's 63 game HD schedule.
"We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the local sports fans' viewing experience on our network," said FSN Rocky Mountain Sr. VP/GM Tim Griggs. "Making more HD games available to Rockies fans improves on what has already shown to be a great product."
The Colorado Rockies HD games will be available in the Denver DMA (designated market area) on Comcast (Ch. 664), DirecTV (Ch. 645-1) and DISH Network (Ch. 364).
FSN Rocky Mountain will produce 126 regular season Colorado Rockies games and will air over 550 hours of Major League Baseball programming in 2008 between games and ancillary programming.
