Atlanta Braves Homestand Highlights - March 31-April 6
03/27/2008 -- Monday, March 31 - Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:10 p.m. - Tom Glavine vs. Ian Snell
• Opening Night at Turner Field - Pre-game ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m. will feature a video tribute to the Braves storied franchise, the longest continuously operating franchise in Major League Baseball. After full squad introductions, recording star Diana DeGarmo will sing the National Anthem and pilots from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans will perform a fly over in F-18 Hornets.
• Nationally touring country band Whiskey Falls will perform their song "Load up the Bases", written for the Braves 2008 season, pre-game in Fan Plaza, and will sing God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch.
• Country music star Eric Church will lead fans in Take Me Out to the Ballgame following God Bless America, as the Braves celebrate the start of the 2008 season.
OPENING WEEK:
• Atlanta Braves Dream Seat Raffle - Braves fans can purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win the Atlanta Braves Dream Seat, a one-of-a-kind recliner from the Braves clubhouse autographed by each member of the 2007 Braves team. Raffle tickets will be sold for $3 at the Braves Community Clubhouse in Fan Plaza with proceeds benefiting the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
• 100th Anniversary of Take Me Out to the Ballgame - In honor of the 100th anniversary of "Take Me out to the Ballgame" the Atlanta Braves, along with Major League Clubs across the country, will host an in-park search for the most talented performer of the iconic song. Beginning Opening Day and continuing throughout Opening Week, the Braves will host auditions at the official "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" booth on the Terrace Level across from aisle 228. Auditions will take place from the time gates open until the end of the 7th inning each day. The winner of the Braves competition will receive four tickets to the Braves July 4th game vs. the Houston Astros, and will lead the crowd in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch that night.
Wednesday, April 2 - Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:10 p.m. -- Jair Jurrjens vs. Tom Gorzelanny
• McDonald's Outfield Advantage - Two Outfield/Terrace Pavilion tickets for the price of one every Wednesday
• Baseball Card Day - Presented by Upper Deck - First 20,000 fans
Thursday, April 3 - Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:10 p.m. - Mike Hampton vs. Paul Maholm
• College Night - Fans can support their favorite college and show school pride on College Night. "Pounce" from Georgia State, "Buzz" from Georgia Tech, and "Hairy Dawg" from the University of Georgia will compete in a Mascot Competition in Fan Plaza from 5:30-6:30. Emory's all-male a cappella group, No Strings Attached, will perform the National Anthem. Students can show a college ID at the Turner Field ticket windows and receive two Upper Box tickets for the price of one.
Friday, April 4 - Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets, 7:35 p.m.
• Magnetic Schedule Giveaway - Presented by Georgia Power - First 45,000 fans
• Publix Friday Night Fireworks - Enjoy a fireworks show after every Friday night home game in 2008.
• 50/50 Raffle - From the time the gates open until the end of the second inning, April 4-6, fans can purchase raffle tickets from volunteers throughout the ballpark for a chance to win half of the money raised through the raffle. Proceeds benefit local community organizations and the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
• Friday, April 4 - Association of Retired and Enlisted Personnel
• Saturday, April 5 - Hope for Guatemala
• Sunday, April 6 - Canine Companions

• Magnetic Schedule Giveaway - Presented by Georgia Power - First 45,000 fans
• Atlanta Braves Foundation All-Star Auction, Saturday, April 5 - The Atlanta Braves Foundation will host their first ever "All-Star Auction" on Saturday, April 5. Every Saturday home game from the time gates open until the bottom of the 3rd inning, the All-Star Auction will give fans the opportunity to bid on unique memorabilia items signed by current Braves and other MLB players and legends in an expanded silent auction. Proceeds from each event will benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
Sunday, April 6 - Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets, 1:35 p.m.
• All-Star Sundays - Every Sunday at Turner Field is an All-Star Sunday, featuring pre-game alumni autograph sessions in Fan Plaza and Kids Run the Bases immediately following the game.
