Minnesota Twins Announce 2008 Home Opener Sold Out
Good baseball tickets remain for balance of opening homestand
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, 03/27/2008 -- The Minnesota Twins announced today that the team's home opener Monday, March 31 (6:05 p.m.) versus the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is sold out. As of today, only a limited number of obstructed view tickets remain for the Twins 48th annual home opener. A limited number of obstructed view tickets in the Upper Club seating area - regularly priced at $21 - are available for $10.50 while supplies last.
The Minnesota Twins have now sold out five of the six home openers since the 2002 season. The last Opening Day sellout prior to 2002 was April 10, 1992, when 53,031 fans flocked to the Metrodome to watch Minnesota host the Toronto Blue Jays. Metrodome seating capacity for baseball was reduced prior to the 1996 season. The current official capacity for baseball at the Metrodome is 46,632.
Good seats remain available for the balance of the Twins season opening homestand against the Angels (April 1 - 3) and the Kansas City Royals (April 4 - 6).
