Progressive Field tours program returns for 2008
03/15/2008, CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians announced today that tickets for tours of Progressive Field are now on sale to the general public. The Progressive Field Tours Program runs from April until September 2008 with all proceeds benefiting Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC).
Tour attendees receive a behind-the-scenes look at Progressive Field, which includes new additions to the ballpark such as the 2007 Central Division Pennant, the recently inaugurated Heritage Park, home of the Indians Hall of Fame and the brand new Party Deck (a fantastic area for group outings at the ballpark) located near right field. All tours will have the opportunity to experience the nostalgia of visiting the home of Cleveland baseball and the excitement of what is Progressive Field.
Public Tours of Progressive Field will be available on the following dates and times (excluding day games, special events, holidays and Saturday home games:

Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for youths (14 & under) and seniors citizens (60 & over).
GROUP TOURS
Group tours are available from April 14 through September, Monday through Saturday at 12:30pm (excluding day games, special events, holidays and Saturday home games. The group rate is a $220 flat rate and accommodates 40 people. Group tickets are available for purchase only at the Progressive Field Main Ticket Office, Indians Team Shops, and by calling 216.420.HITS.
SCHOOL TOURS
CIC presents a special tour program for schools from April 14 through June 6 and all of September. Teachers will receive an Indians Baseball-themed workbook with curriculum and worksheets geared for various grade levels when scheduling a school group tour. School groups (minimum of 40 people) receive a discounted rate of $180 when booking a tour during the school tour schedule of dates. Tours will last approximately one hour. Teachers interested in bringing their class to Progressive Field for an unforgettable trip should call 216.420.HITS.
PANERA BREAD BOX LUNCHES- New for 2008
Enjoy a box lunch in the Market Patio before or after your tour of Progressive Field! Panera Bread Box lunches can be purchased for $7.00 per person for a Regular Meal and $6.00 per person for a Kids Meal. The Regular Meal includes smoked turkey breast, roast beef or ham & swiss sandwich, bag of chips, cookie, and a pickle. The Kids Meal includes peanut butter and jelly or deli sandwich, yogurt and choice of chocolate/white milk or apple juice. (Vegetarian available upon request). There is a minimum of 5 box lunches per tour. Box lunches must be reserved at least two weeks prior to the scheduled tour. *Panera Bread will donate $2.00 to Cleveland Indians Charities for every box lunch purchased.
Public and group tours last approximately 75-90 mins and will leave promptly from the Progressive Field Team Shop. Tour stops include the all new Party Deck, Heritage Park ( the Indians Hall of Fame), Bullpen, Press Box, Party Suite, Dugout, Club Lounge, Visitors Clubhouse (on select dates), and Indoor Batting Cages. The tour route is subject to change. Concession stands in the ballpark are not open during tours. Tours are entirely wheelchair accessible and will take place rain or shine.
Since Progressive Field opened in 1994, over 250,000 fans have toured the park, generating more than $600,000 for Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC). CIC, the charitable arm of the Cleveland Indians, was established in 1989 to make a positive contribution to the quality of life for thousands of Northeast Ohio youth by providing educational and recreational opportunities. Since 1989, CIC has donated more than $5.5 million to youth-oriented agencies and organizations of Northeast Ohio.
