ESPN Announces Management Promotions in Digital Sales
March 17, 2008 -- Lisa Valentino has been promoted to vice president, digital sales and Steve Takeuchi has been promoted to vice president, sales planning/asset management, it was announced today by Ed Erhardt, president, ESPN Sports Customer Marketing and Sales.
“Both Lisa and Steve have demonstrated leadership in their strategic sales approaches by driving results in their areas,” said Erhardt. “These moves are designed to enhance our focus on the growing digital assets within the ESPN portfolio.”
Lisa Valentino, formerly senior director, digital sales, will be based in New York and manage the digital sales strategy, business prioritization and facilitate the ESPN sales team’s relationship with advertisers as well as oversee a newly developed sales strategy and digital insights group. She will continue to report to Eric Johnson, executive vice president, multimedia sales.
Steve Takeuchi, formerly senior director, asset management will be based in New York and be responsible for the sales planning, pricing and oversight of all ESPN digital platforms including ESPN.com, ESPN Mobile and ESPN360.com. He will continue to report to Oliver Dizon, senior vice president, strategic sales planning and revenue enhancement.
