Chicago White Sox Make Roster Moves

03/12/2008, TUCSON, Ariz. -- Prior to Wednesday's spring training game vs. Colorado Rockies, the Chicago White Sox made the following 12 roster moves:

* RHP Lance Broadway, RHP Dewon Day, RHP Charlie Haeger and RHP Oneli Perez were optioned to Class AAA Charlotte;
* RHP Lucas Harrell was optioned to Class AA Birmingham;
* Requested waivers on LHP Carlos Vasquez for the purpose of granting his unconditional release;
* INF Chris Getz, INF Royce Huffman, INF Jeff Liefer, OF Miguel Negron, INF Mike Rouse and C Ryan Smith were reassigned to minor-league camp.

With the moves, the Chicago White Sox have 39 players remaining in camp: 18 pitchers, five catchers, 10 infielders and six outfielders. The Sox 40-man roster is at 39.
