Washington Nationals Announce Baseball Ticket Discounts, Additional Promotional Items for 2008 Season at Nationals Park

03/13/2008 -- The Washington Nationals today announced special ticket discounts for the upcoming season at Nationals Park and additions to their 2008 promotional schedule.

The team announced the details for the "Harris Teeter Vic Card Tuesdays", "The Washington Post Wednesdays" and the Sunday "Family Fun Pack" ticket discounts. At each Tuesday home game, fans may present their Harris Teeter VIC Card at the Nationals Park Box Office and receive $5 off tickets valued at $24 or more. There is a four-ticket maximum, available day of game only.

Every Wednesday fans may receive $5 off tickets valued at $24 or more by presenting the front page of that day's Washington Post at the Nationals Box Office. There is a two-ticket maximum per person and the discount applies only to that day's game.

The Family Fun Pack returns for all Sunday non-premium games. Fans may purchase an Upper Right Field Terrace seat, hot dog, non-alcoholic drink and chips for $14. There is a minimum of two-tickets per purchase for this promotion. Family Fun Packs may be purchased in advance on-line, via telephone or at the Box Office, as well as on day of game.

The Nationals will also offer discounted tickets to special groups throughout the season. For all non-premium, non-holiday games held Monday through Thursday, senior citizens, government employees, active members of the military and college students will receive a $3 discount off any ticket priced at $10 or more, based upon availability. Fans must purchase these tickets on the day of the game they wish to attend at the Nationals Park Box Office with the appropriate ID. Transactions are limited to one (1) ticket per person.

Ticket discounts may not be applied to added value seats, which include the PNC Diamond Seats and the Center Field Lounge Seats.

All fans attending the March 30 Opening Night game vs. Atlanta will receive a "Welcome Home" rally towel in addition to a "Curly W" lanyard. Children under twelve attending the Nationals game on Sunday June 8 vs. San Francisco will receive a Kids Baseball Glove and those attending the Sunday June 22 game vs. Texas will receive a Kids Nationals Jersey. Both promotions are courtesy of Smithfield and limited to the first 10,000 children.

The Nationals Park Box Office is located at the Center Field Plaza entrance gate at the corner of Half and N Streets, S.E., and will NOT be open until March 30th at 10:00 a.m. After March 30th, Nationals Box Office hours will be Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on non-game days. The Box Office will open at 9:00 a.m. for all day games and at 10:00 a.m. for all evening games.
