Mark Horak Named President Warner Home Video North America
March 10, 2008, Burbank, CA – Mark Horak has been named President, Warner Home Video North America, it was announced today by Ron Sanders, President, Warner Home Video.
Mark Horak, who most recently served as Executive Vice President & General Manager, Worldwide Operations and New Packaged Media, Warner Home Video, will take charge of the division’s North American operations, to include the US, Canada, and Mexico. In addition, he will continue to oversee worldwide global sales process and category management. Horak will continue to report to Sanders.
“Mark was the natural choice to take on the new role of President, North America,” said Sanders. “He is a highly respected executive and has continued to build strong relationships with our key retailers and internal teams. He is a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of every facet of our business, making him the perfect fit for this leadership position.”
During his career at Warner Home Video, Horak served as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Asia, Latin America and Australia; prior to that he held the role of Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, where he was responsible for building worldwide release strategies on the HARRY POTTER and MATRIX franchises. Horak joined WHV in 1995 as Director of Marketing and held numerous executive marketing roles, including Senior Vice President, US Marketing. Previously he held marketing positions with Dole, RJR Nabisco and StarKist Seafoods. He earned a BBA from Loyola Marymount University and received his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
