Arizona Diamondbacks Come to Terms with 25 Players

03/09/2008, PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that they have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with the following 23 players:
Pitchers (13) -- RHP Billy Buckner, RHP Emiliano Fruto, RHP Edgar Gonzalez, RHP Juan Gutierrez, RHP Brandon Medders, LHP Bill Murphy, RHP Dustin Nippert, RHP Micah Owings, RHP Jailen Peguero, RHP Yusmeiro Petit, RHP Leo Rosales, LHP Doug Slaten and RHP Esmerling Vasquez.
Catchers (3) -- Wilkin Castillo, Robbie Hammock and Miguel Montero.
Infielders (4) -- Emilio Bonifacio, Javier Brito, Conor Jackson and Mark Reynolds.
Outfielders (3) -- Alex Romero, Jeff Salazar and Justin Upton.
The D-backs also renewed the contracts for 2008 for right-handed pitcher Tony Pena and outfielder Chris Young.
