Changes implemented to Kauffman Stadium sales due to ongoing construction at Truman Sports Complex

03/05/2008, KANSAS CITY -- Single-game tickets for the Kansas City Royals 2008 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, will go on sale on Saturday, March 8 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be available on-line at royals.com, by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, at metro-area Hy-Vee stores (no Opening Day tickets available) and at the Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows.

Due to the ongoing construction taking place at the Truman Sports Complex, the Royals will implement new procedures for the first day of single-game ticket sales at Kauffman Stadium.

All fans planning to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday must enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 2, located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east side of the complex. Gate 2 opens at 6 a.m. on Saturday. All other gates into the Truman Sports Complex will be closed to fan traffic. Fans who typically access the stadium via I-435 can take I-70 East to the Blue Ridge Cutoff exit and proceed to Gate 2. Fans will be instructed to park in Lot A of the Truman Sports Complex and directed to temporary ticket windows located near Gate B of Kauffman Stadium to purchase tickets.

The call center and Kauffman Stadium ticket office will be open special hours for the opening weekend of sales. Tickets may be purchased on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In the Greater Kansas City area, fans can purchase tickets by calling the Royals Call Center at (816) 504-4040. Fans outside Kansas City can call 1-800-6ROYALS (1-800-676-9257).

Season ticket packages are currently available online at royals.com and by calling (816) 504-4040. Fans can guarantee themselves Opening Day tickets by purchasing a 21-game season ticket plan starting at just $168 per seat.
