Atlanta Braves "Lead-Off Luncheon" to Take Place on April 22

03/05/2008 -- The Atlanta Braves fourth annual Lead-Off Luncheon will take place Tuesday, April 22nd at noon at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead. Fans will enjoy lunch alongside current Braves players, coaches, alumni, and executives, as the Braves celebrate the start of their 2008 campaign. Braves Hall of Fame broadcaster Pete Van Wieren will host a Q & A session with several Braves stars, giving all luncheon attendees an insightful look at the 2008 team.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and pre-luncheon activities will include a silent auction benefiting the Atlanta Braves Foundation, and a Braves Baseball Festival featuring the 2008 Braves Tomahawk Team, Heavy Hitters Drum Line, inflatable hitting and pitching games, and more.
The Atlanta Braves is Major League Baseball's winningest franchise since 1991. During that time, Braves teams have earned 14 division championships, five National League pennants and a World Series title. Based in Atlanta since 1966, the Braves franchise is the longest continuously operating franchise in Major League Baseball.
