Atlanta Braves 2008 Individual Game Baseball Tickets Go on Sale Friday, Feb. 29
02/25/2008 -- Atlanta Braves 2008 individual tickets will go on sale Friday, February 29, starting at 9:00 a.m. Single game tickets will be available at the Braves box office at Turner Field, 1-800-326-4000, Braves.com/tickets and all TicketMaster outlets. In 2008, every Tuesday and Wednesday game features a two-for-one ticket offer; every Wednesday - a free gate giveaway; every Thursday - a theme night; every Friday - post-game Fireworks; and every Sunday is a "Braves All Star Sunday" when children 14 and under can run the bases after the game, and Braves alumni will sign autographs for fans in Fan Plaza.
Monday, March 31, the Atlanta Braves will host the Pittsburgh Pirates for Opening Night 2008 at Turner Field. Pre-game ceremonies will feature a historical tribute to the Braves storied franchise, the longest continuously operating franchise in Major League Baseball. Full squad introductions and a rousing military fly over will bring fans to their feet as the Braves celebrate the start of the 2008 season.
The Braves will face off against a division rival the first weekend of the season as the New York Mets head south April 4-6. The first 45,000 fans on Friday and Saturday night will receive a Braves 2008 magnetic schedule courtesy of Georgia Power, and Friday night fans will want to stay after the game to see the first Publix Friday Night Fireworks show of the year.
Joe Torre will make his Turner Field debut as the new Los Angeles Dodgers skipper April 18-20 when L.A. comes to town, and fans attending the Saturday, April 19th match up will also enjoy the festivities of Jackie Robinson Day at the ballpark. Interleague play in 2008 will bring the Oakland A's in, May 16-18, and the Seattle Mariners, June 20-22. The Braves will start the month of July at home, welcoming the Philadelphia Phillies July 1-3 and the Houston Astros July 4-6. Friday, July 4th, fans will enjoy one of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in the South, as Publix presents an All American 4th of July celebration.
In August, the Chicago Cubs make their only trip to Turner Field in 2008, August 12-14, and the San Francisco Giants stop in for a four-game series August 15-18. The Braves will once again face their division rivals as the Phillies (September 16-18) and Mets (September 19-21) close out the 2008 regular season schedule at Turner Field.
The Braves 2008 promotional schedule features more than 70 theme and give-away nights for the upcoming season. Collectible Braves Bobble Head dolls, player t-shirts, and Braves logo hat nights highlight the 2008 give-away calendar, while popular theme nights returning this season include Publix Friday Night Fireworks, two "Bark in the Park" dates (May 4 and September 7), and Braves All Star Sundays, featuring Braves alumni autograph sessions and Kids Run the Bases.
