02/26/2008, CLEVELAND -- The 2007 American League Central Division Champion Cleveland Indians today announced single-game tickets for the remaining 80 regular season home games at Progressive Field go on sale Saturday, March 1 at 10AM. Opening Day 2008, just 34 days away on March 31, sold out in less than three hours when Opening Series tickets went on sale in November.

The Indians also announced a Season Ticket "Select-A-Seat" opportunity for prospective Indians season ticket holders will be held at Progressive Field on Saturday, March 1 from 9am to 3pm. Available seat locations will be identified for 20-game, 40-game and Full-Season ticket plans.

Highlighting the 2008 Home Schedule at Progressive Field is an exciting and fun-filled special event and promotions calendar featuring Fireworks every Friday, Giveaways to all fans on Saturdays and the popular Kids Fun Day every Sunday. As the Indians prepare for the 2008 single game ticket onsale, the Tribe has continued to see an increased ticket sales trend this offseason. The following represents the latest update in 2008 ticket sales:

* Have exceeded 1.3 million in ticket sales; did not hit 1.3 million mark until late April last season.
* Season Ticket Sales are up 20%, eclipsing last year's total Season Ticket number in early January
* Group Sales are up 39% compared to last year at this time
