Houston Astros to Hold Select-A-Seat Day at Minute Maid Park Saturday, February 23
Day includes personal tour of seat locations
02/21/2008, HOUSTON -- Baseball enthusiasts of all ages are invited to join the Houston Astros Ticket Services Department as they host the annual Select-A-Seat Day at Minute Maid Park this Saturday (February 23) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free.
At Select-A-Seat Day, fans will be able to "try-out" seat locations for full-season and mini-season ticket packages for the 2008 season.
"The Select-A-Seat event is a great way for fans to sit in the seats and pick the location that will give them the best view of the 2008 Houston Astros," said Bill Goren, Astros director of ticket sales. "The 2008 season should be great for Astros fans because of many standout returning players combined with a number of exciting new additions to the team. We have sold a high volume of season ticket packages already, but there are still a number of good seating options available that will be on display this Saturday."
Astros fans interested in attending the Astros Select-A-Seat Day may park for free in the Diamond Club Parking Lot or Parking Lot A on the East side (Highway 59 side) of Minute Maid Park. Attendees will enter Minute Maid Park through the Home Plate Entrance by the Clock Tower on Texas Avenue and Hamilton Street. Fans interested in becoming 2008 Full Season Ticket Holders or 27-Game Mini-Plan Holders will embark on a one-on-one guided tour of Minute Maid Park in search of the perfect set of seats. Astros ticket sales representatives will offer valuable information on each available seat location.
Astros 2008 full-season ticket packages (83 games) and mini-plans (27 games) are currently on sale through the Astros Ticket Services Department at (713) 259-8500 or 1-800-ASTROS-2 and online at Astros.com. Ticket plans start as low as $297 and include playoff options.
