DoD Identifies Army Casualty: Pfc. Jack T. Sweet, 19, of Alexandria Bay, New York
February 12, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Jack T. Sweet, 19, of Alexandria Bay, New York, died Feb. 8 in Jawwalah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.
