Warner Music Group Recording Artists, Songwriters Take Home Awards at The 50th Annual Grammy Awards
Winners Include Alejandro Sanz, Calle 13, Eric Clapton, Gerald Levert, Michael Bublé, Tim McGraw And The White Stripes
02/11/08 -- Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG) artists and distributed recordings earned 27 awards at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night. Among the winners were Alejandro Sanz, Calle 13, Eric Clapton, Lupe Fiasco, Madonna, Michael Bublé, Tim McGraw and The White Stripes.
Additionally, Elektra Records and Nonesuch Records founder Jac Holzman was honored with the Grammy Trustee Award for his outstanding contributions to the music industry while Warner/Chappell Music writers Burt Bacharach and Robbie Robertson from The Band were awarded Lifetime Achievement Award honors for lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium.
