California Governor Schwarzenegger Issues Statement Regarding Resolution of Hollywood Writers Strike
02/11/2008 -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today issued the following statement after the Writers Guild of America announced an agreement with studios to end a three-month strike:
"I'm pleased to hear the writers strike appears to be in its final stages and commend the Writers Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers for negotiating an agreement.
"A sensible end to the strike is a win-win for California and the country because the entertainment industry is so important to our economy and so many Californians can now get back to work.
"I'm excited for Hollywood to start entertaining America again and for California's economy to reap the benefits."
