DoD Identifies Navy Casualty: Petty Officer 1st class Luis A. Souffront, 25,of Miami, Florida
February 09, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Petty Officer 1st class Luis A. Souffront, 25,of Miami, Florida, died Feb. 7, from wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device while serving in combat operations in Iraq.
He was assigned to an East Coast based SEAL team.
