Missouri Governor Blunt Orders Flags Flown at Half-staff in Memory of Kirkwood Shooting Victims
February 8, 2008 -- ST. LOUIS – Missouri Governor Matt Blunt today announced that all flags at state facilities in St. Louis County will be flown at half-staff to honor the memory of the victims from last night's senseless shooting at the Kirkwood City Hall.
“This is a terrible tragedy. Melanie and I offer our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the victims as well as the community of Kirkwood and everyone who is mourning the victims of this horrific crime.”
Flags will remain at half-staff until dusk on the evening of the last day of memorial services for the victims.
