IPC Ignite Delivers Major Growth for Iconic Web Brands in Latest ABC Group Product Reports
February 05, 2008 -- IPC Ignite today announces superlative ABCe results across two of its iconic brands – NME and Nuts – as it prepares to unveil its second round of Group Product Reports on Thursday, February 14.
The audited results for November 2007 reveal significant growth for both brands, with Nuts delivering superb growth in unique users – up 50% on June 2007.
Nuts, which launched NutsTV in partnership with Turner Broadcasting Systems in September 2007, announces a figure of 945,790 unique users for nuts.co.uk in November, up by 314,323 from 631,467 in June.
Meanwhile the award-winning NME.COM, which last week announced a major new partnership with MSN to provide up to the minute news and reviews to MSN Music, also delivers sterling growth – up 8% to 1,824,038, up 130,842 from 1,693,196 in June. NME.COM is internationally famous for its groundbreaking music news and features, delivered around the clock. The site recently scooped Best Music Magazine award for the second year in a row at the BT Digital Music Awards – the UK's only awards that are completely dedicated to digital music.
IPC Ignite managing director Eric Fuller says: "These results speak for the power of truly iconic brands to connect with their audiences across different platforms. NME and Nuts are thriving online. Their audiences are sophisticated users of a variety of different media channels, and we've worked hard to ensure we provide them with truly unique branded experiences online. This set of ABCe results proves we achieved that – and the ABC Group Product Reports which will be unveiled on February 14 underline our continued commitment to providing meaningful, audited data on the real strength of these powerful brands."
NME publishing director Paul Cheal adds: "The power of the NME brand lies in the integration between its many platforms – generating an enormous combined reach. The magazine; the newly launched NMETV; the mobile offering; the live events; and NME.COM – each element combines to drive a real time interaction with users 24/7. NME.COM has also extended its video content onto third party platforms like YouTube – delivering over 2.5million viewings in less than a year – and will be an integral platform for the launch of NME Radio later this year."
Nuts publishing director Jo Smalley adds: "To achieve high double-digit growth period on period in such a hotly contested market cements IPC Ignite's position as the undisputed market leader: giving men what they want across all platforms – print, online, live events, mobile and TV."
The Group Products Reports, incorporating print and online circulation, will be published on Thursday, 14 February.
