Florida Marlins Annual Broward Health FanFest Set for Feb. 9

02/04/2008, MIAMI -- The Florida Marlins welcome all fans to the Annual Broward Health Florida Marlins FanFest on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Dolphin Stadium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 2008 Broward Health Florida Marlins FanFest will follow the 2008 Marlins Caravan, which kicks off on Feb. 4.

The Marlins Broward Health FanFest also marks the first time individual game tickets for the 2008 season will be available for sale, and will also feature a Select-A-Seat for fans interested in the various ticket plans the team offers.

Events at FanFest will include:

• Single game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. for the 2008 season plus the two exhibition games vs. New York Yankees at the Gate F Ticket window.

• Select-a-Seat, which allows fans to pick out and lock in their favorite seats for the 2008 season; account executives will be located outside of Section 149 and at the Gate G Plaza

• Guided tours every 30 minutes for fans to visit the Marlins Clubhouse, the Home Dugout, the Press Box, the Home Batting Cage, and the all new stadium Club Level (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

• Autograph sessions with Marlins players and coaches at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. A limited number of passes will be distributed at the Autograph Tent located in the Gate G Plaza 30 minutes prior to each autograph session. The number of passes is determined by the number of autographs that each player will be able to sign in one hour.

• Photograph Session Tent with various Marlins players, Mermaids, and Billy The Marlin located in the Gate G Plaza throughout the day - (please bring your own camera)

• Interactive areas and activities in the Gate G Plaza for all ages including bounce houses, two Full Size Batting Cages, a Little Sluggers' Zone, a Steal Home Challenge, a Dunk Tank, a Big League Speed Pitch, and more

• Two Kids Clinics located at the Radio Disney AM 990 Family Fun Zone at Gate F at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

• Florida Marlins Community Foundation Garage Sale in the Gate G Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Grab Bags at 10 a.m., Noon, and 2 p.m.

• Marlins Town Hall Meetings in the Gate H Plaza West Helix with Marlins players, coaches, and executives in which fans get to ask the questions. (Noon: English press conference, 3:00 p.m.: Spanish press conference)

• Live musical entertainment, games, and activities on the Main Stage in the Gate G Plaza throughout the day

• Live broadcasts from the Marlins' flagship radio stations, Sports Talk 790 The Ticket at the Gate H Stage and WQBA 1140 at the Gate F Stage

• Marlins Merchandise on sale at the Stadium Team Store in the Gate G Plaza

• Major League Baseball Advanced Media interactive booth in the Gate G Plaza featuring live access to www.floridamarlins.com

• Interactive arcade area in the Gate G Plaza where fans can play MLB 2K7 against each other, and against Marlins players occasionally throughout the day

Admission to FanFest is free and open to all fans. A $5 parking fee will be collected, however, it can be applied as a credit towards the purchase of game tickets. All other proceeds will benefit the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.
