Mike Huckabee: Mike Huckabee Announces the Endorsement of Boxing Champion Roy Jones, Jr.
February 03, 2008 -- Little Rock, AR - Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee announced the endorsement of boxing great Roy Jones, Jr.
"Governor Huckabee is a man who knows about struggle and how to work hard for what he wants," said Jones. "As a fellow TKE, I know he's a man of honor and integrity."
Jones was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 1990s by the Boxing Writers Association of America. He was regarded as the #1 fighter in the middleweight, super middleweight, and light heavyweight classes by all leading magazines. He also won the World Boxing Association heavyweight title in his only fight in his weight class.
"I'm proud to have the support of such a dedicated athlete and champion," Huckabee said.
