01/30/2008, CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox, Comcast SportsNet, WGN-TV and WSCR Radio (670 AM) have announced the team's 2008 broadcast schedule for spring training.

The White Sox will televise 12 Cactus League games (10 on Comcast SportsNet and two on WGN). The new format will feature the first three innings of games, followed by listener interaction with the broadcast team and guests. WSCR also will broadcast six "White Sox Live" talk shows, presented by Miller Lite, throughout spring training that will feature listener interaction. These shows, which begin at 6 p.m. CT, will air on March 10, March 13, March 17, March 20, March 21 and March 24.

The first televised spring training game by Comcast SportsNet is on Monday, March 3 at 2:05 p.m. when the White Sox face the Kansas City Royals in Surprise, AZ. Comcast SportsNet also will air 7 p.m. replays of the spring training telecasts on March 3, March 6 and March 21.

WGN-TV will televise two Cactus League games: the White Sox vs. Chicago Cubs on Saturday, March 15 at 3:05 p.m., and the White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals on Sunday, March 23 at 3:05 p.m.

Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Darrin Jackson will team in the television booth for all 12 televised spring training games.

WSCR broadcasts the first of its five complete games on Wednesday, February 27 at 2:05 p.m. when the White Sox host the Colorado Rockies in the spring training opener. WSCR again will feature the on-air team of play-by-play voice Ed Farmer and color analyst Chris Singleton for all games.

The first of the four interactive games broadcast on WSCR will be Friday, March 7 vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at 2:05 p.m. WSCR's White Sox spring training pregame shows start 10 minutes before game time and a five-minute postgame show follows each contest. A full-length, 35-minute pregame show will precede the final spring broadcast on Saturday, March 29 vs. the New York Mets (Major League Baseball's Civil Rights Game).
